Our First Anniversary Trip to San Francisco!!!

It has been a month since i wrote a blog, and of course there is a lot to blog about. But i'll keep it short, cuz i have a lot to do on my day off. First, I'm still on Orientation at my new job and it has been reallllllllllllly stressful. And it shows(i'm breaking out more than the usual and my back is bothering me all the time). Another week or two and i'll be on my own. I'm actually looking forward to that. I'm getting used to all the City attitude. Hopefully i'm not acting like them. And i'm also coming to the realization that i don't want to be a bed-side nurse for the rest of my life. My body won't be able to handle it. So i have no choice but to go back to finish my Master's and do something else with my life.
What else? My family and all of Saji's Uncles & Aunts are back from the Motherland. So life is back to normal again. My parents bought me this gorgeous fuchsia colored Italian crepe sari. Of course my mom is not the best judge of fashion so i had to give her an example of what i actually wanted. Anyway, i'm really happpy with her selection. I can't wait to wear it soon.. :)
Finally, Me and Saji went on a short trip to San Franciso during the labor day weekend. It was to celebrate our First wedding anniversary (it's actually on the 18th). But due to work situation, we decided to take the trip a little early. Anyway, our first shock of San Fran, was the weather. It's really cold in the City and our Hotel was in the downtown area. Let's just say we weren't prepared for the cold weather at all. I always think of California as this Sunny state. Anyway, i had to buy a fall coat the first day we got there. Apparently during August & September, it's really cool in San Franciso because of the Fog covering the whole city. It would have been nice to know that ahead!! Anyway, We were able to visit Saji's cousins who live an hour away from the city. They have two kids and one of their names is Micah which we assumed was a girl. So we had bought this pink pantset for Michah. Well, Micah is a boy. OH WELL!! It was funny though:) The Hotel we stayed at was The Argent. Pretty fancy place! We were on the 35th floor and we had a great view of the City and the SAn Franciso bay. We took two tours, one to Napa Valley and a City tour. I absolutely Loved Napa & Sonoma Valley. First of all, it's actually warm and sunny there and the Vineyards is soooooooooo gorgeous. We visited three Wineries: Kirkland, Madonna & the last one was this Italian vineyard that i can't remember the name of. My favorite was Kirkland Ranch. We took this tour bus to get there and everyone on the bus was so quiet going there and coming back, we were all a little loud :) San Francisco is a beautiful city, with the cable buses, and the amazing Hills with the million $$ houses. I absolutely loved the houses. The hills were a little scary. We drove through Lombard Street, which is the most crooked street in the world. And it's definetly true. Amazing view!!!
We went to this Moroccan Restaurant for dinner, the food wasn't so great but the entertainment was nice, they had a pretty talented belly dancer. (Saji enjoyed it more :).
Overall, it was a great trip. We just wished we knew about the weather. Anyway, now that we have been back in NY. It's been extremely busy with work. I have to work all these extra shifts this week to make up for the days i missed. Oh well, that's Life!! Today we are planning on going to Little Italy for dinner with Jose Achen (He was our main Achen that wed us) and our friends, Ann & Bobby. It should be fun.. And i'm also looking forward to this Sunday, the 18th. I can't believe it's been a year already since we've been married. It has definetely been the best year of my life so far. And everyday i realize how blessed i am to have married such a wonderful human being. I'm still sooooooo AMAZED by you.
